Paul’s weekend report

Run reports
Plenty to report this week. We'll take another look at the successful 'club-league' parkrun at Albert and Sunday's cross-country at Whitby. First of those was completing run number 250. More impressive was his second milestone: Mike has now done 100 different parkrun venues. Amazing! (to put that in context, Dave Fender has done 752 parkruns over the course of 6 decades - with all but 1 at the Tees Barrage) I think Suzanne Brodie, David Murphy and Fin Pennington have done over 50 venues - but they still have some way to go to catch Mike. Thanks for spreading the…

Paul’s parkrun report

Run reports
35 Striders joined Debbie Edwards at Stewart Park on Saturday. The website photo shows our growing number of parkrun dogs! (Harley looked as calm as ever) All looks to have gone well and I wish Debbie all the best in her recovery. In-form Tom Murphy was 3rd home in a new pb. Steven Hall and Charlotte Farrar recorded pb's - whilst Emma Fleming was third lady to finish. Elsewhere, Stephen Mcneal pb'd and Izzy Morgan was third lady to finish at Albert park. Nigel Radcliffe reached run number 100 at Hartlepool. A venue which also saw Phil Baines get a new pb and Steve Cotton a 70%+ age-grading. Striders too at Carlisle, Valentines (Ilford), Sedgefield, Northallerton and Dolgellau (Wales). Paul J

Thursday naked run

Training
As previously explained, a naked run means running with no watch/phone or other timing/GPS device so you don’t know what pace/time you are running. You predict your time and the person who runs nearest to their predicted time is the winner. The time doesn’t need to be how fast you think you can run the distance - it’s all about matching the pace you predict. The exact route will not be shared until Thursday evening however it will be 3.6 miles. Please book through MagnaPass as usual https://www.magnapass.co.uk/partner/stockton-striders-ac Once you have booked your place please comment your predicted time for 3.6miles below. This will allow us to start promptly on Thursday. We will not charging any subs for this run - thanks Chairman Andy!
