Whitby XC bus

Club News
Hi all. I have 9 people interested in a bus to the Whitby XC on Sun 10th Nov, at £175 for a 16 seater bus I think this is too expensive unless anyone else would like to come on the bus. If you are interested please reply to this post of message me on FB. I will make a final decision next week and let everyone know. We may have to car share instead. Thanks Liz J

Acklam XC

Club News
A massive well done to all the Striders who braved the rain yesterday to take part in Acklam XC. the overnight rain made for a lovely wet and at times muddy course (perfect XC terrain). The weather certainly did nothing to dampen the spirits of everyone taking part and for some this was their first competition. The ladies team finished a very respectable 8th out of 13 teams. A special well done to Emily Palmer 19th lady on her first XC and Kay Stokes 1st V60 lady. Jason Cutler was the first Strider in the men's team finishing 26th in a very fast field of men and the overall team position was 7th out of 11 teams. Even Jerry enjoyed running this time as he now qualifies to run the…

Thirsk XC results

Club News
What a lovely day Sunday turned out to be. 9 intrepid Striders plus our grand daughter Yuna who at 1 year old may be the youngest team mascot. The weather proved to be mild and we escaped most of the rain forecast with only an occasional light shower. 3 members were trying XC for the first time and despite the course being only 2 miles each leg all were surprised at how tough it felt. As always plenty of support for each other and tea and cake to finish. Well done everyone for such a great effort and hope to see plenty of folks at Acklam on 6th October for the next XC. Results from Sunday are attached2019-20 NYSD Results Thirsk
