Club News
6 months ago tomorrow I had my second knee op within 7 months putting right complications from the 1st surgery & with still no guarantee I’d get back running again after fracturing my  tibial plateau last July. Today I did my first ‘race’ in 15 months - the Boro 10k. I got to pin a race number to my striders vest & just go run & hopefully do it with a smile on my face!  😊😊😊🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️ I’d like to say a massive thanks to Striders for all your support not just today but over the last year or so- it’s helped keep me motivated & focused not just to get back to running but to try to be stronger than ever in doing so. It’s not been easy but the…

These events simply can’t go ahead without the community giving their time to support each and every participant to reach their goals and raise that all important money for charities on both a local and national scale. So get involved! Bring friends/family and make a morning of it! Create sign, bang instruments and make noise to keep the runners going! In return each…

Potential GNR bus

Club News
Potential GNR Bus For those who attended club this evening , you will have heard Sam’s announcement on a potential GNR bus. As a club, we have traditionally hired a bus to get members and family to and from the event and I’d like to judge interest for this years event. So, if you are interested, please can you comment on this post so I can judge if it is worth putting one on. In the first instance, places will be for Striders and their family members but demand dependant, maybe offered to the wider running community. One word of warning would be once we have committed to the hire and and confirmed price etc and you confirm your place on the bus, you will be liable to pay for…
