As part of our GNR fundraising for Debbie and her Dollies we're hosting a charity raffle at the Pizza social night. Whilst Debbie and the girls have been busy contacting local businesses for lots of fab prizes, any additional donations of prizes will be much appreciated - either comment below or message me please

Lovely feedback from race organisers …. What a fabulous morning at Ropner Park today. Thank you so much to Stockton Striders who were out in force; marshalling, tail running, pacing & cheering on each other and our regular runners. Oh & they provided the goodies afterwards!! You should all be very proud of yourselves 👏👏👏 Well done to everyone else who ran today. Some great running and some fast times. Plenty of photos so some more will be in another post.

Striders do Stockton Sunday Runners 5k & 2k tomorrow. I’ve not heard any further from the guys who organise the run re pacers so I suggest: If you don’t want to run & just marshal that’s fine & we can find you a spot to marshal from. If you don’t mind pacing/running/marshalling I’d say come in your running gear with layers just in case we need you to stand somewhere instead lol. The aim as well as marshalling is to have as many striders as possible there taking part & encouraging other runners. Please meet at the bandstand between 9 & 9:10am … wearing Striders colours if possible 💚💙

Hi all Charity Pizza/Quiz Night Friday 9th September Venue  - Clubhouse Start time  - from 7pm Pizzas - 730 pm Quiz starts - 815 pm Rather than print and distribute paper copy tickets we will again be adopting a ticketless approach. Last year tickets for this annual event were £5. However this year we are looking to support both Debbie Edwards and Ben Robinsons Just Giving charity pages. It has been agreed that profits from ticket sales will go to Bens chosen charity, Pancreatic Cancer UK and raffle ticket sales will go to Debbie’s chosen charity, the Trinity Holistic Centre, South Tees Hospitals Charity. (More information on the raffle and the fabulous prizes on offer will follow). Tickets on this occasion for the pizza and quiz night will cost £10…

Next Sunday sees Stockton Striders provide all the marshals for Stockton Sunday Runners 2k & 5K at Ropner Park. We will need around 6 marshals on the course including the finish area, a 2k tailrunner, a 5K tailrunner and depending on uptake some pacers as well. Parkrunathon … one week on & a time to reflect on a surreal week! I’ve got to say heading to Sedgefield parkrun this morning it was hard to believe a full week has passed since our parkrunathon … it seems only a couple of days ago we were at Sedgefield running parkrunathon number 6! So back to the parkrunathon day - you’ll no doubt have seen the posts & photos from their official website but I’ve got to say Marshall Drive volunteers were immense! They loved having us as much as we loved being there! A colossal 54 striders took part and as usual there was plenty of support from each other and lots of shout outs to all the runners not just Striders! I had the pleasure of running…

Fir those not on FB Sunday Social - Sam Johnston Hi All , for anyone interested I am doing a 10 mile run from the club on Sunday morning. The average pace will be between 8.50 - 9 minute miles. There are a couple of cut off points on the route if anyone wants to run a bit shorter. I am setting off at the earlier time of 8.30am as the forecast says it’s going to get quite hot later on the morning. Hi all Slight change of plan. Due to a limited number of bookings tonight’s club session will now be all inclusive on the track. We appreciate some may wish to cancel but please note the session will suit all abilities. We most certainly will also be factoring in the very warm weather conditions too. Those joining us please please please bring plenty of fluids to be kept trackside. If those attending could meet by the track rather than in the clubhouse please. Thanks Andy J
