Paul’s parkrun report

Run reports
Paul’s parkrun report… 21 Striders and 5 parkrun dogs at Hartlepool on Saturday. Tom Murphy and Kris Allen got pb's - as did Jane Stohrer. Jane also achieving a 70%+ age-grading. I've been informed that the dog league finished as follows: 1 Alfred, Nick Martin, 2 Freddy, Steve Mitchinson, 3 Flo (pb), Helen Johnston, 4 Poppy, Tracy Bradburn and 5, Nancy, Emma Fleming. (Nancy subsequently receiving a 10-year ban for being carried). No excess licking was reported - just ice cream and treats aplenty. At Stewart Park James Boynton reached run number 100, with Ian Morris and Doreen Morris picking up new pb's. Sue Russell also made to 100 parkruns at Market Rasen Racecourse - where Simon Russell got a 70%+ a-g. Stevie Cooper and Caroline Horton managed 70%+ a-g's…

Paul’s parkrun report

Run reports
It was a cold crisp morning at Sedgefield on Saturday. Tom Day was visiting with his son - and 20 Striders were there to say hello. For the humans, Tom Murphy and Kris Allen picked up new pb's and Izzy Morgan was 2ndlady to finish. In the dog league we had Raymond, Charlie and Harley battling it out for supremacy. (and possibly a pug who I don't know the name of). I wasn't sure of the placings so studied their behaviour afterwards to try and pick up any clues. Cleveland Way Relays

Club News
The NYMAC Cleveland Way Relays are back 😁🙌. Sunday 12th June. Now that the cross country series has ended, Gail Robinson and Michael Burke are happy to organise this for our club members. It would be great to get our club back out there after a two year absence. There are 16 legs, starting from 5am. The details of the event can be read here. We would like at least two members or more per leg, (I know we do have a couple of members who are happy to run on their own) and you can also run more than one leg. A recce of the leg you will run MUST be done before the date of the event. The event is free, no affiliation required, so, If you are…

Paul’s race report

Club News
Runners at Hartlepool got a bit wet at the start of Saturdays parkrun. However, the cloud soon passed, the wind was light and conditions were pretty good. Sue Russell was running with her son and he helped propel her to an all-course parkrun pb. Nice one Sue. It was also a good day for Doreen Morriss and Charlotte Farrar who picked up new pb's. I managed 2nd overall. Thank you to the kind words of encouragement from some of the Striders as I was heading towards the finish. Elsewhere, at Albert, Emily Palmer, Stevie Cooper and Caroline Horton got regional age-gradings of 70%+. Emily was also 2nd lady to finish. Nice to see Caroline return to form. Michelle Ince recorded a pb and 1st female finish at Flatts Lane. Good…
