Are many of our canine friends and owners heading to Northallerton parkrun tomorrow?  🐾🐶💚💙….. Will be lovely to see fellow Striders with or without a dog 😊😊💚💙🏃‍♀️🏃🏻

Well done to everyone who took part on Striders comic relief run & quiz last night.  Great fun was had by all and there was some very creative ideas for our something red photo challenge! Well done to Red Star Billog who were the winners of our much coveted pens & sweets - with only 1 point in it between all 4 teams. All subs from the night will be donated to comic relief ❤️❤️ A big thank you to all the organisers 👍🏻    

On the back of a very successful cross country season for our club, we have the final event. Its the NYSD relays at South Park, Darlington 26th March. We need 3 ladies & 4 men to make up the teams; two laps of the park per runner. Followed by the presentation of the cross country awards 😃 If you are interested, please add names in comment below. Early heads head …. don’t forget this Saturday sees the start of Striders 2023 canine mini parkrun league. The venue for this one is Northallerton so be prepared for a bit of mud … although sure the dogs will love it ! Please note Parkrun guidance on running with dogs must be adhered too! There’s a few dog friendly cafes in Northallerton for the obligatory post run cuppa 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻🐾👍🏻 ☕️ All welcome with or without a pooch 😊

League race no.3 Thirsk 10 miler. After the snow midweek who knew what weather today would bring.. surprisingly it felt like March Spring weather! Who would’ve thought that?? Weird. It was perfect running conditions which was a relief to me and Sam who worried we would have a repeat of race hiccups like last year, fortunately this wasn’t the case. Anyhow, we had a brilliant Strider turnout, half are missed off the photo, (apologies) they were probably hunting around for pins for race numbers. Could’ve made a fortune selling pins today.. On arrival, I found out I had not entered 🙈 Me, a league run organiser, had not entered! “I beg to differ” I said as the lady frantically searched the box; I was given the option to pay on…

Just to confirm - sessions are on tonight. If the weather was to deteriorate (not forecast too until later tonight) we will assess accordingly. Thanks Andy J

For those not on FB Hi all February subs emails showing amounts owed will be issued today/tomorrow. Payment by the deadline (29th March) is always appreciated. Please note - those only owing £1 (only attended one session during the month) this amount will be carried forward to March subs bills. Thanks Andy J
