UPDATE NYSD Track and Field meeting this Tuesday at Middlesbrough Sports Village. All information can be found at: http://nysd.org.uk/track-and-field. Athletes are responsible for registering themselves and fees will be reimbursed - please only book if you intend to participate. If you forward confirmation of booking e-mail to stocktonstriders@gmail.com then arrangements will be made to transfer payment. You must have current EA affiliation for 2022/23 and wear club colours to participate. We also still need someone else to assist with team manager duties and promotion of the events please.

Sedgefield Harriers - Neptune Relays 2022 -Wednesday 27th April 2022 Hardwick Country Park (each leg is 1.7 miles) 6:30pm So far we only have Paul J, Faye Buckton, Tom Murphy, Mark Dickinson and Mark Dickinson who have expressed an interest. Its teams of 4 so thats 1 team & a reserve. If you are interested and not yet added your name please do so by Friday 22nd April. Also looking for a team manager for this one please. Will need to register everyone on the night and collect team numbers and distribute. Thanks Helen J

For those who have expressed an interest in competing in the track and field season I have contacted league organisers (now we know how many people are interested in competing). We are unable to provide the number of volunteers to help out at the meetings (see previous related posts) and therefore it is up to the league to confirm if we can participate this season. I will post an update once we hear back from them. If we do get the go ahead each athlete will be responsible for registering themselves at the event (this must be done in advance and online only) and entry fees will be reimbursed by the club. Confession time folks 🙄🙄 … I seem to have acquired a striders hoodie which is in a much better condition then mine! I can only asssume I’ve picked the wrong one up at club on Tuesday … so if you’ve now got one that has a hole next to the pocket (caused by overstuffing the pockets!) and a couple of spots of bleach on it then yes that’s sure to be mine (not sure of the size but it’s a ladies fit one) If you can let me know and then we can swap back - I’ll wash this one I have now and will be sure to return it as prestine as I found it 😊😊 Thanks Helen J

Don't forget its the next official run in our Striders canine mini parkrun league this Saturday at Hartlepool 😀 By the sounds of Paul's weekend parkrun report sounds like theres some serious training being undertaken ready for Saturday ... Will Flo hold off the challengers this time and take top spot again 😆, will Ivy still be on enforced rest and have to give this one a miss? And will Jet make it back from her holibobs in time!! Why not stay for an Easter cuppa and cake afterwards with your fellow Striders ☕️ 🧁🍩🍪 ... of course everyone is welcome with or without canine companions 🐾🐾🐾

Thanks to everyone who has e-mailed EA affiliation forms. Unfortunately there are some issues with the EA portal (it seems to happen every year! ) which EA are trying to resolve so it may take a few more days before we can process the affiliations. Thanks Helen J

It’s an open evening  at Stockton Sixth form tomorrow night so car park may be busier than normal!

However please note that it was agreed at the NYSD Track and Field planning meeting that all clubs must provide 2 helpers at each meeting or athletes may not be able to compete. I did state that given the numbers of athletes we have competing at the events along with the meetings clashing with our training nights…
