Just to say thank you to everyone who has donated to Debbies Dollies fundraising for Trinity Holistic Centre. We know a lot of people are donating online so that gift aid can be applied & we also collected £125 in cash donations from Striders throughout our parkrunathon so current total sits at £2,589 😊😊😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What a day! What a club! Well done to everyone who supported our inaugural (?!) Striders parkrunathon. We’ll post some pics from today over the coming days but safe to say there were lots  of happy smiling faces around today  😊. And the sheer number of people (too many to count!) who came along to Ropner Park is testimony to how Debbie Edwards & Ben Robinson are loved by everyone in our Striders family 💚💙 Finally take a bow our 💯% gang who completed all 8 and a bit parkruns - awesome! 😜

Parkrunathon tomorrow! Schedule and update  Please see attached the schedule for the charity parkrunathon. Its unchanged from the one posted last weekend. List is: parkrunathon 1 - Marshall Drive (directions thanks Kris for these :-) Basically if you program “60 Marshall Drive, Brotton, TS12 2RE” into your Satnav’s, that will take you to the start area. There is a small car park beside the play park at the start but it’s not massive. You may have to park on Marshall Drive itself.  It’s about 35 minutes drive from Stockton so give yourself plenty of time to get there and get sorted. You will be driving though Saltburn which, as you know, get’s busy. If you prefer to park in a proper car park, Asda Skelton isn’t too far away and I’ve…

I’ve messaged the run director at Marshall Drive parkrun just to let her know there’s quite a few of us going on 06/08/22 for the first of our parkrunathon …. She’s replied …. Wow Helen that's amazing! Thank you for giving us the heads up, not sure if you've researched but we are a small parkrun so potentially you'll double our numbers that day! This isn't a problem though we are more than happy to accomodate you. Let me know if anyone is able to volunteer, we do have a strong core team (and an amazing photographer), but extra hands never go amiss! GNR and York Marathon bus updates. I've now have quotes for the buses: If a few more people book on the bus I could book the 33 seater for GNR ( i have 20 names so far) and it will work out at around £11-£13 return so please if you want a place (or if you know anyone else who does - they don't need to be striders members) can you let me know by Sunday 7th August. Eeee its a busy old couple of months! Stockton Sunday Runners have approached the club to ask if we can do a Striders does Sunday Runners day and provide all the marshalls for the day and maybe some pacers too! The date will be Sunday 21 August - if you are able to help out please comment below. You'll be needed from around 9am until 10:30am. We've suggested the organisers could maybe post to see if anyone wants pacing to a particular time and go from there .... Parkrunathon 06/08/22 Schedule and Info Long post alert! Hi All Please see attached the schedule for the charity parkrunathon. Please note we have had to make a couple of changes to venues 1st one is that Flatts Lane is cancelled on the 6th August so we will start at Marshall Drive Brotton. And hot of the press, thanks to the tip off from Fran, I've checked and Tees Barrage is hosting street theatre events on our parkrunathon day as part of SIRF, with several being held over the course of the day & evening. Therefore whilst its disappointing that we wont run our final leg at the Barrage we feel the sensible option is to move it to Ropner Park. So the final list is: parkrunathon 1 - Marshall Drive…

Message from Abby Barker The ever popular NYMAC relays return with the Thomas Wall Memorial Relays on Thursday 25th August at Stewart Park. It’s teams of four, each doing a mile lap. Club will pay entry fees. If you would like to take part please comment by 6pm on Thursday 4th August as we need to register teams when booking opens on Saturday 6th August.
