England Athletics Affiliation 2023/24 Our EA Club Portal is now live for registrations for EA affiliation. Cost for 01/04/23 - 31/03/24 is £17 and all monies go directly to EA. A blank renewal form is attached. We’re hoping to get a photo of the team all together with their individual medals and the team trophy. We’re hoping everyone can meet at the club next Tuesday at 6:15pm. If anyone fancies going along to spectate the NYSD relays at Darlington’s South Park on Sunday … ladies race is at 12:30pm and the men’s race is 1:30pm. Presentations for our ladies winning team will be after both races are finished.

Striders Canine parkrun mini league 2023 run 1 - Northallerton report A warmer than late, albeit a bit damp spring morning at Northallerton greeted us for our first canine run of 2023. There was just three of our 4 legged friends today, old pro Alfred with Nick Martin, Flo with me & the newish dog on the block Ivy with Andy & Jennie Johnston. Plenty of other Striders also came along to join in the fun 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻💚💙 After a considerable warm up by Ivy which included launching herself at Flo with excitement to see her we made our way to the start line … ahead of us was (almost 4) muddy laps. Well done to everyone who took part on Striders comic relief run & quiz last night.  Great fun was had by all and there was some very creative ideas for our something red photo challenge! Well done to Red Star Billog who were the winners of our much coveted pens & sweets - with only 1 point in it between all 4 teams. All subs from the night will be donated to comic relief ❤️❤️ A big thank you to all the organisers 👍🏻    

Early heads head …. don’t forget this Saturday sees the start of Striders 2023 canine mini parkrun league. The venue for this one is Northallerton so be prepared for a bit of mud … although sure the dogs will love it ! Please note Parkrun guidance on running with dogs must be adhered too! There’s a few dog friendly cafes in Northallerton for the obligatory post run cuppa 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻🐾👍🏻 ☕️ All welcome with or without a pooch 😊

Would people be interested in a parkrunathon 2023? Possible date 15th July ? With a bit of fundraising chucked in?? For those who haven't taken part in a parkrunathon before basically its running 8 and a bit parkrun courses over the course of a day totally 26.2 miles. You can do as little or as many as you like (its not an official striders event and done at own risk, and you must be realistic with own levels of fitness etc etc). We start at 9am for the only official parkrun of the day then go from venue to venue .... of which are still to be confirmed. Please comment if interested
