Things haven’t gone according to plan as her cancer is now stage 4 and incurable but that doesn’t stop our Debbie. Debbie has already raised an amazing amount for the Trinity Holistic Centre, where she has received treatment. To help Debbie with her fundraising fellow Strider Ben Robinson wrote and produced this charity song.…

Tuesday 24/09/19 #runandtalk sessions

Once again Stockton Striders AC will be holding #runandtalk sessions - supporting England Athletics Run and Talk Programmes  aim of improving mental health through running in England programme . Sessions will start at 6:30pm prompt and they’ll be a couple of different pace banded groups each offering 3 or 5 miles - as the emphasis is about social running & talking, everyone in the groups will be expected to start together, stay together and finish together 👍🏻👍🏻 ... there’s tea, coffee and biscuits at the club afterwards -  all subs from the evening will be donated to Stockton & Middlesbrough Mind #runandtalk

Great Tees 10K, Junior & Mini Runs & City Games

We've been asked to share ….. The Great North CityGames will be hosted, for the very first time, in the Tees Valley, right here in Stockton, on Saturday 7th September. Stockton High Street will be transformed to welcome world class athletes, including our very own Teesside Tornado Richard Kilty, to compete in a top class live athletics event. The event will be broadcast live on BBC1. On the very same day we will also be hosting the Great Tees 10k, Junior and Mini runs. And if this isn’t enough, the High Street will feature a jam-packed events village to entertain all, including a climbing wall, inflatable assault course, craft activities, giant lawn games and much more, as well as the river being animated with a variety of planned activities throughout…

Very well done to everyone who took part in the NYSD XC race at Preston Park - our first time at hosting the event. Thank you to Sid Rudd, Graham Hall and the NYSD Team, Dave Todd and his First Aiders, Karen Harland for the photos and last but no least Stockton Striders AC and friends who were out early on a bitterly cold morning setting up the course & taking up their marshalling positions. Important coaching announcement: Hi all, just a few things to update you on with regards to the coaching at stockton striders. Due to increased numbers and a wider variation of abilities it has been decided that the 33+ group will now become the 33-37 group. For those of our members who are over 37 minutes for a 5km, we will have a progression group which will follow a 6 week training programme designed to help you aim towards the 37 minute mark. The progression group will be coached by the majority of the coaches at the club and at the end of the 6 week programme, members will run a 5km. If you manage to do it in 37 minutes or under then you are eligible to run in the…
