I wanted to thank everyone who took the time to complete the club members' survey. In the end the number of responses wasn't down too much on last year, although of course you always want to have as many as possible to make the exercise worthwhile. The findings are in the process of being counted and verified as I think they say at Eurovision or is it Strictly? You will hear more about this at the AGM on 21st November and afterwards. Reading through the comments, it was clear to me that there are a number of people out there with really good and new ideas and an obvious enthusiasm for wanting the club to progress. If this is you (or sounds like you regardless of whether you left comments…
Our survey giving you the chance to let us know what you think of the club is closing at the end of Friday. This means you have one last opportunity to tell us what you want from training sessions, socials, the club itself and anything else you want to say. Follow this link (which will only work if you are reading this post and not the preview) before it’s too late! https://forms.gle/bKLyVDuey1xh7yVz9 Thank you
A little reminder to ask all members to help the club by spending a few minutes giving some us feedback in our annual survey, Thank you to everyone that has already done this To help the club get better, it is important that the committee have some idea what members want from the club and what they would like to be improved. The more responses we get, the more likely it is that future decisions will reflect what most members actually want. It’s mainly multiple choice, should take less than 10 minutes and is anonymous. You can access the survey until Friday 25th October by clicking on the following link (if the link appears broken please check you are reading the post and not just the preview https://forms.gle/bKLyVDuey1xh7yVz9

Would you believe it will be Striders' 5th Birthday soon? This means its time to start plotting our Birthday party (to be held a little belatedly in January as per tradition) I have collated together member suggestions for future social events, so if you'd like a say on what we do to mark this important milestone. please follow the link below and give us your preferences. It's just 2 multi choice questions and an optional space to leave comments so should only take a couple of minutes,,,, https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc891IlaJC_7_ytVGUCSKs8dCRKly0DTu5k5UiKxcTB6Nr26Q/viewform,

If you enjoyed the Neptune relays on Wednesday, or saw the photos and wished you were there, why not put your name down for the next relays at Stewart Park on Thursday 6th June at 7pm (need to be there 6.30pm at latest) Each leg involves a 1 mile lap of the park. All abilities are very welcome to represent the club. If you are interested please put your name down below or on Facebook and mention if you are affiliated or not and we’ll do our best to enter enough teams (It can be a bit of a scramble to get in!) You can post any questions here or catch Julia C or Helen J at the club.
It's getting closer to the point when we need to submit our entries for the Royal Signals Relay, which despite being marketed as a road relay is actually 2 laps of a very beautiful country park in Houghton Le Spring. 2.2 miles for each runner. If you are UK athletics affiliated, own or can borrow an official striders vest and are free on Saturday 16th February, please consider taking part. Plan will be to head off from the club mid-morning, car share and we'll likely to be back at club mid-late afternoon. Here are some more details about the event https://necaa.weebly.com/uploads/6/4/8/5/64850927/necaa_road_relay_2019_prospectus.pdf?fbclid=IwAR3RPgZvnnpiN3Y4ZSTnF8O7PqlekpWAAqR20DMDQERgH1qEc9M9Euf7XxY If you would like to take part and haven't already given your name to Helen please post in comments below.
